About Us

Henfield Artisan market (HAM) started life as a Henfield Community Partnership initiative in the immediate post-COVID environment. Run as a ‘not for profit, community benefit’ and with support from Henfield District Council and Henfield Parish Council it went from strength to strength until at the end of 2024 we went ‘fully independent’ and became a standalone market with our own registered company.
Our core principal remains that we run as a ‘not for profit, community benefit’ seeking only to cover our costs/investments with continuing support from both Horsham District Council and Henfield Parish Council. Our aim is to benefit as many small, local businesses as we can, and bring to the community a range of quality arts, crafts, food and drinks that might otherwise be unnoticed – and add a little entertainment and fun to the mix!
Who are we?

‘We’ are Audrey, Carol and Paul and we’ve been involved with the market (in one form or another) since its inception at the end of 2020, and have been running it by ourselves since the end of 2022 (with help from friends and family when needed).
Our vision has always been to offer a community event and run it to break financially even only, and we are proud to continue this approach. We also want to ensure that the products on offer are artisan quality, and varied. Therefore we do ‘curate’ the market so that we avoid having too many stalls all selling the same thing. This isn’t always as easy as it sounds, but we do try!
